How a Multihead Combination Weigher Works?
The machine’s “combination weighing” principle (the core of multihead weigher technology) enables ultra-fast, precise batching:
Step 1: Bulk Feed & Distribution
- Product (food granules, hardware screws, or electronic components) enters the top cone/vibratory tray.
- Vibrating radial feeders evenly split the product into independent weigh hoppers—ensuring each hopper gets a small, manageable portion.
Step 2: Real-Time Weighing
Load cells in each hopper measure the portion weight in real time (response speed <0.01s), sending data to the central computer instantly.
Step 3: Combination Algorithm
The central computer scans numerous of weight combinations per second across all hoppers to find the exact mix that matches your target weight (e.g., 100g for hardware screw batches). This eliminates“over-pack waste” or “under-pack complaints”common with single-hopper weighers.
Step 4: Discharge & Packaging
- The selected hoppers open simultaneously, dropping the perfectly weighted batch via a chute.
- The batch feeds directly into our vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machine or pillow bagger for airtight, professional sealing.
